My name is Melanie and I was born in Germany almost 30 years ago (yeah, I know).
This website is mainly about anything that I’m doing in my life, the things that I enjoy, the places that I went to and at some point maybe some recipes that I like cooking.
If there is one thing I learned especially this year though, it is, that age indeed is just a number. As well as that the only limitations are in your mind (and your wallet).
Why am I making this website amongst all the other similar ones, you might wonder. There is a reason for it: because I want to and because I can. All my life I have been too scared of posting anything about my life because people could judge me and think I’m weird. But guess what? They will anyways and I am weird.
Also I think I’m doing some pretty cool stuff and my brain is constantly producing new creative ideas on what to try or where to go next. So in this way I can share some of these ideas and it might inspire you to do that, too. Which would make me really happy!
In case you were wondering what “Lady Pollo” means, Pollo is the Spanish word for chicken and I once sewed a lovely chicken that I called “Lady Pollo” or simply “The Lady”. After all, without her (and the first Covid-Lockdown, bless its soul), I would have never started sewing, crocheting and knitting, which are activities that I enjoy a lot now (especially during cold winter days/nights).
So, long story short, this blog is all about me, my impressions, my experiences and my thoughts that I would love to share with you. Even if there is just one person enjoying reading my stuff or getting some useful information here, that is why I’m doing this.
